Aboriginal Self Identification @ Century

At Century we value the rich heritages and perspectives that our multi-cultural community brings to our school climate and culture.  This is evident in our inclusive practices and our determination to provide time and space for all voices to be heard AND respected.

We honour our First Nation, Metis and Inuit (FNMI) children as descendants of peoples that have always been here.  This is an important lesson for all of us to learn.  Throughout the course of our school year we will offer teachings at public events such as The Blanket Exercise and Pow Wow as well as visits from leaders in our FNMI Community.  We will keep you informed through our Newsletter and this website with further details.

In the meantime, please consider completing the Aboriginal Self Identification form that will come home with your child, this month.  The data these forms provide allow us to advocate for the resources we need to adequately serve our FNMI children and their families.
